Former Oak Creek resident Lois J. Gentile died Aug. 20, 2007, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. She was 74.
She was born April 1, 1933, in St. Joseph, Mo., to John and Ethel (Miller) Wright. She was raised and attended school in Missouri.
Lois later moved to Denver, where she was married and became the mother of four children - Bill, Don, Douglas and Tammy Rigney.
She married James J. Gentile on Oct. 16, 1971, in Denver. They spent many years in Oak Creek and moved to Craig in 1997.
Lois worked for a time as a cook in Phippsburg, but primarily was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pearl.
She is survived by her husband, James J. Gentile, of Craig; daughter, Tammy Rogney, of Hawaii; stepdaughters, Janice and her husband, Wayne Buntin, of Oak Creek, and Jean Gordon of Arvada; sons, Bill, Don and Douglas Rigney; stepson, James and his wife, Molly Gentile, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.
