Former Steamboat Springs resident Mary L. Bradley died March 11, 2007, after a battle with cancer. She was 84.
She was born June 29, 1923, in New Bedford, Mass., to Dr. Albert P. and Emma S. (Finnegan) LeClair. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1942 with a bachelor's degree.
She came out West in 1946 to attend graduate school at Denver University, studying social work. She moved to Steamboat Springs and worked child social work. She married Melvin J. Bradley on May 19, 1959, and continued with social work and taught school. Mel and Mary ran the T Ripple R summer school for boys, teaching reading, writing and ranching. She also sold real estate and was a homemaker. She lived in Florida for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by Mel in 2000.
She is survived by all her siblings, Albert, Joan and Carol.
