Michael Jack Mosbey
June 30, 1972 - June 12, 2007
Michael Jack Mosbey, a Craig resident, passed away June 12, 2007, at University Hospital in Denver. He was 34 years old.
Memorial services were held June 16 at First Baptist Church.
Michael was born June 30, 1972, in Vernal, Utah, to Pat and Patti Mosbey of Craig. He was a devoted father and loved his three sons, Stayton, Thad and Kurt Mosbey.
Mike loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid fly fisherman who also enjoyed skiing, boating, snowmobiling and weightlifting. He worked for 20 years as a painter, enjoyed cooking and eating and was always in top physical condition.
Michael will be missed by all who were privileged to know him, his sense of humor, great smile and fun loving spirit.
One of Michael's friends described Mike as the "best and most tenacious fisherman I've known. His enthusiasm and energy for the hunt is unmatched. Mike's legacy as a great guy and fishing addict will always be a catalyst for me. : 'One more cast' was always our motto."
Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his sons, Stayton, Thad and Kurt; father and mother, Patrick and Patricia Mosbey, of Craig; sisters Lisha (Ron) Hunnicutt, of Visalia, Calif., and Mischel Mosbey, of Denver; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
Although we cannot touch him, we can feel his presence. We can listen for his laughter in the trees and the streams.
Michael leaves us too soon, but his memory will remain with us always.
A trust account has been opened at Bank of Colorado to assist in final expenses for Michael. The Mosbey family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the kindness our community has poured out to us in this great time of sorrow.
