She then moved to Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale until finally moving to Sandrock Ridge Rehabilitation Center in August 2005.
Betty was a dedicated churchwoman. She loved to iron altar linens from the Church of the Ascension in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. She never tired of organizing church fairs, where she sold her crafts. Betty was also a devoted den mother and PTA volunteer.
Betty loved to shop for antiques and refurbish them. She was a wonderful craftswoman. She made lovely things, including quilts, pillows and counted cross-stitch that decorated her room at Sandrock Ridge Rehabilitation Center.
