This is my experience with Hayden's fluoridated water.
I am a 66-year-old man. I have lived a very active lifestyle and worked as a construction laborer and have lived in Hayden a long time.
About a year ago I noticed a change in my urinary and bowel habits. I was never empty. It felt irritating to go. I got up several times a night. Felt constipated all the time. I thought I might be starting to get old or something.
Then I went out of town to help a friend. For one month, I drank only well water — no additives. After about three to four days, my symptoms started going away. And within a week or so were gone. Seriously. I have nice normal flows, no more irritation. Down to one or two trips at night. But no urgency.
I felt great. I wondered why? My diet is always the same, so what changed? The water I drank.
When I came back to Hayden and started our water, guess what? Yep. My symptoms came back. So I went to bottled water and yep. My symptoms stopped. So, what am I to think. What is in our water?
Here is an unexpected thing. I thought I had very bad arthritis in my hands and feet (ache and always cold) due to my life as a construction laborer. However, after 2 1/2 months on non-fluoridated water, I no longer have those symptoms. My hands no longer hurt and are warm. My feet also. Who knows what I will notice getting better in the future? It seems my joints (body ones) don't ache anymore, also.
It seems the only difference is what's in our water.
A friend got me a book from the Hayden Library with a list of symptoms and disorders, including mine, associated with fluoride toxicity, plus a chronology of fluoridation. The book is also available at the Resource Center at Yampa Valley Medical Center.
If you look up fluoride, you will find it is toxic and also poisonous at levels we are given. I am sticking to bottled water and will vote appropriately to protect my health — yes on 2F.
