Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:04 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers helped a disoriented man find his backpack at 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The 42-year-old Steamboat man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The man later was arrested at the Routt County Jail on suspicion of introducing contraband into the jail.

7:04 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 2900 block of West Acres Drive who was receiving unwanted text messages from a family member.



7:55 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of fraud in the 37600 block of Saddle Mountain Drive.

10:33 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of hunters trespassing in the 3900 block of Colorado Highway 131 near Toponas.



11:44 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a student who had hit his or her head during recess at Soda Creek Elementary School.

1:23 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of fraud in the 32400 block of Highlands Road.

1:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a female who said her neighbor was harassing her in the first block of Cedar Court.

4:19 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 40800 block of Purple Sage Street. A salesman was going door to door.

5:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an intoxicated man at a gas station in the first block of Anglers Drive. The man told an employee he had lost his car, but the employee suspected it was running next to the gas pumps. The man left and went to a nearby trailer park. Officers helped the man get home.

6:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 2000 block of Curve Court. Someone reportedly had been entering a person’s recreational vehicle parked in the area and had been smoking and cooking in it.

7:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury accident at Walton Creek Road and Whistler Road.

7:53 p.m. Officers saw fireworks in the area of Alpenglow Way and Val D’Isere Circle but could not find out where they came from.

9:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fireworks at Val D’Isere Circle and Ski Trail Lane.
