Police, fire and ambulance calls

5:32 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers checked a suspicious car in the 1100 block of Central Park Drive. Officers knew the car from previous contacts with a person sleeping in it. No one was in the car.

8:28 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 39000 block of Amethyst Drive.



10:44 a.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 3100 block of Heavenly View. Construction signs had been damaged.

11:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious car in the 600 block of Pahwintah Street. A person called to a report a car that had been parked in front of his or her house since 8 a.m. Officers contacted the car’s owner, and it was moved.



11:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash at Old Mount Werner Road and Steamboat Boulevard.

12:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a cellphone found in the 80 block of Anglers Drive.

1:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken driver in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

1:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a civil complaint at Yampa and 12th streets. A person sold a car and reported that the person to which it was sold left the car there with a flat tire and damage. The person also reported that payment for the car had not gone through.

3:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit-and-run at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. A parked car had damage to its mirror.

3:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that ran a stop sign at Fifth and Oak streets. The driver was issued a written warning.

5:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. Cash reportedly was stolen from a locker at Old Town Hot Springs.

6:14 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of wildlife at mile marker 58 on Colorado Highway 131. No other information was available.

10:04 p.m. Officers performed a welfare check at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. A drunken man was laying on the sidewalk. The man was issued a citation for underage consumption and released to a sober person.

11:47 p.m. Officers were called to perform a welfare check in Steamboat Springs. A woman was concerned about her husband. Everything was fine.
