Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:05 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a man who was pushing people around and trying to start fights near a hot dog stand at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. The 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
12:44 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who heard about 10 rapid gunshots in the 1700 block of Brome Drive. The person did not think it was fireworks. Officers could not find the source of the noise.
12:50 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 23100 block of Schussmark Trail.
1:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was bitten on the hand by her dog while trying to break up a fight between her dogs in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Circle.
2:09 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with abdominal pain in the 1300 block of Indian Trails.

7:15 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of an two-car accident near mile marker 121 on U.S. Highway 40. A Subaru tried to pass a semi, lost control on snow-packed roads and hit the semi. No one was injured. The driver of the Subaru was given a ticket for careless driving.
8:07 a.m. A person came to the police department and reported losing a wallet, possibly at a restaurant in the 100 block of 11th Street.
9:53 a.m. Officers were called to check on an Oak Creek woman working in Steamboat. The woman was emotional and upset and was referred to mental health officials.
10:21 a.m. Officers were called to a report of abandoned vehicles in the 2600 block of Honeysuckle Lane.
11:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who received a secret shopper scam in the 500 block of Wyatt Drive.
12:05 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to a report of smoke at Hayden Valley Elementary School. The school was evacuated, but the source of the smoke could not be determined.
2:22 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an unconscious person who was breathing at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
4:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the first block of East Logan Avenue. A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
6:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary in the 3100 block of Columbine Drive. The property had been in foreclosure. When the owner arrived, it had been ransacked, and there were items missing.
7:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who said a house guest would not leave in the 1900 block of Cornice Road. The man was given a ride to a motel.
9:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who said her purse had been stolen from a restaurant in the 2200 block of Aprés Ski Way. The woman said she was with friends at the bar, and she put her purse on the floor.
