Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:08 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a person trespassing in the 43500 block of Routt County Road 129.

6:49 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash near mile marker 105 on U.S. Highway 40.



9:07 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a theft in the 21000 block of Routt County Road 15 near Yampa. Residents had returned to their home after being gone for a year and noticed someone had taken fuel from a tank.

9:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a male cyclist who was suffering from a heart attack in the Dakota Ridge subdivision. He was flown to a hospital in the Denver area.



9:41 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a 74-year-old female who got in a bike crash in the Dakota Ridge subdivision. She was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with a gash above her eye.

9:31 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found on the Yampa River Core Trail.

10:04 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car window that had been shot out in the 800 block of Pamela Lane.

10:05 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that had been stolen from a bar the previous night in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:15 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a truck stolen from the 29000 block of C.R. 14A.

11:30 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a 5-year-old involved in a possible near-drowning incident at a pool in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The child was breathing on his own and came around without medical help. He was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

12:09 p.m. Deputies were called to investigate smoke at Elk River Estates. No smoke could be seen.

1:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 1800 block of Kamar Plaza.

1:13 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a suicidal person in Steamboat. He or she was referred to mental health officials.

1:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of graffiti on the 13th Street bridge.

2:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud at an auto parts store in the 2500 block of Lincoln Avenue. Someone fraudulently opened up a line of credit and took $700 in tools.

3:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found in the 2000 block of Walton Creek Road.

4:48 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a car that drove into Hayden Middle School. The driver was fine and given a summons to appear in court for careless driving. The driver also hit several other cars.

9:24 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who wanted to complain about fireworks being set off at Dry Lake Campground.
