Steamboat Springs — Saturday, July 27
1:13 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a theft at the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A jacket was stolen and a phone had been in the pocket. The items were valued at $320.
4:03 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an assault in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court. One of the parties involved left the scene ahead officers, but officers got a vehicle description then pulled the car over, arresting the driver for DUI and the passenger for assault.
10:28 a.m. Officers were to a report of property lost in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A silver-colored purse with about $400 in cash had been lost.
11:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in the 1300 block Dream Island Plaza. Co-workers were arguing. Officers offered advice on how to handle the situation.
11:39 a.m. Officers were called the a report of property found at the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge. A bike had been sitting alongside the Yampa River Core Trail for an extended period of time. Officers took the bike for safe keeping until the owner could be identified.
12:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief at the intersection of 11th and Oak streets. Several signs had been painted with graffiti. There are no suspects.
1:02 p.m. Officers were called to a holdup alarm on the 800 block of Oak Street. Reporting officers determined it was a false alarm.
1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of found property. A iPad had been found and the owner was contacted.
6:59 p.m. Officers were called to an assault on the 1900 block of Cimarron Circle. No other details were available.
8:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of intoxicated people at the 2200 block of Apres Ski Way. Two drunken women were with their children. A sober person was called to care for the group.
8:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people making noise on the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. They were asked to be quiet.
11:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken driver in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue. The driver couldn't stay in the correct lane. The vehicle was found and stopped and the driver and was arrested for DUI.
