Steamboat Springs — 12:25 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an open door at a business in the 2400 block of Downhill Drive. Police secured the door and found no sign of illegal activity.
1:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who skipped out on a $76 bar tab in 700 block of Yampa Street. Police caught up with the man and issued him a court summons for theft.
1:49 a.m. Hayden Police Department officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a bar in the 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue.
11:19 a.m. Animal control officers in Steamboat were called to a complaint about three dogs sitting on a roof of a two-story home in the 200 block of Pine Street.
12:07 p.m. Animal control officers were called to a complaint about a husky dog on the roof of a building in the 1900 block of Alpine Plaza.
12:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman harassing another woman in the parking lot of a bank in the 200 block of Anglers Drive. The victim of the harassment called police after the other woman used her vehicle to block her into the parking lot. Police issued the harassing party a summons for false imprisonment and obstruction of telephone service.
12:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who heard a strange noise in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
3:22 p.m. Officers and Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a suspcious person at Shield Drive and Routt County Road 33. A passer-by called to report that a man looked like he was about to jump in front of a train. Police contacted the man and determined he was just fishing in the Yampa River.
3:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a mobility scooter stolen from Walmart. Police found the scooter being driven by two 13-year-old girls at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. The girls were taken into custody on suspicion of felony theft, and released to responsible adults. The scooter was valued at more than $2,000.
3:44 p.m. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver on C.R. 16.
8:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. Police helped a man get his dog back from his ex-girlfriend.
9:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was being asked to leave his wife’s room at Yampa Valley Medical Center. The man told police that the hospital staff told him he needed to leave while a procedure was done, and he didn’t think he should have to leave. The man was let back into the room.
9:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 3200 block of Apres Ski Way. A person reported a strange odor in his or her condo. Police determined the smell wasn’t foul play.
10:37 p.m. Officers were called to a complaint about someone smoking marijuana in a hotel room in the 3100 block of Ingles Lane. The complaint was handled civilly.
