Steamboat Springs — 12:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a complaint about a loud noise at a bar in the 1000 block of High Point Drive.
4:32 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters and Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a house fire at 30835 Elk Lane. A man inside the home was able to get out safely and report the blaze. Firefighters spent hours extinguishing the fire that destroyed the home.
9:10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The wallet was returned to the owner
11:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Whistler Road and Covey Circle. A passerby called police after they found a small dead alligator in a flower garden. Police weren’t able to determine how the alligator got there but suspected it was someone’s deceased pet. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were called to dispose of the approximately 18-inch long reptile because it was emitting a foul odor.
1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an assault in the 500 block of Buena Vista Court. Police warned a person to stop harassing his or her neighbor.
4:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found on a bike path near the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge.
10:13 p.m. Officers were called to a complaint about a loud party in the 1100 block of Saratoga Avenue. Police told the partygoers to keep the noise down.
10:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police cited a man who was suspected of breaking part of the fence that separates the parking lot at Bud Werner Memorial Library from the Yampa River Core Trail.
