Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:35 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of windows broken out of a piece of construction equipment at West Lincoln Park.

10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a maintenance worker who found a bag of marijuana in the 1000 block of 13th Street.

2:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted to complain about a car in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an iPod and prescription drugs taken from a purse at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

4:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dead bear in the Yampa River near West Lincoln Park. Wildlife officials think the bear might have been hit by a car.

4:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that was hit in the first block of Eighth Streets.

8:42 p.m. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a report of a disturbance in the 33300 block of Routt County Road 24. Two men were having a disagreement, and they were separated.

9:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dispute between neighbors in the 400 block of Eighth Street. A man was reportedly irritated about a nightlight at his neighbor's house, and he had repeatedly gone over and unscrewed the light. The nightlight was used to keep bears and skunks away. Officers mediated the situation.

11:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear trapped in a Dumpster in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. Police sounded their siren and threw rocks at the bear. The bear jumped out of the Dumpster and ran away.
