1:05 a.m. A 19-year-old man in Dream Island was taken to the hospital after shooting his pinky finger with a rifle. The man was cleaning the rifle when it accidentally discharged.

3:41 a.m. A man called police because he was supposed to pick up his girlfriend downtown but he could not find her. The man eventually learned the girlfriend had gone out with coworkers and then went to one’s house afterward.

8:20 a.m. A mother in the 500 block of Rolling Stone Drive called police to report that her son had gone to Denver and had not returned when he said he would. The police later were contacted and told that the man was still in Denver.

10:47 a.m. A tenant in the 1300 block of Skyview Terrace said her roommates threw a party when she went away for the weekend.

2:02 p.m. A warrant attempt was made at Steamboat Springs High School for an 18-year-old man who failed to appear in court on a charge of driving while ability impaired.

3:48 p.m. A warrant attempt was made in Steamboat Springs for a 37-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child.

9:48 p.m. A report was made that a package was left in front of a business on Eighth Street between Oak Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police investigated and found a bundle of wall paneling.

10:48 p.m. A woman in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza reported that she did not want a man she had been out drinking with that night to stay at her house. Police helped the man, who was visibly intoxicated, find another place to spend the night.
