12:25 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a door open at the back of the theater in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

12:30 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of people sleeping in a car in the Fish Creek Falls parking lot. Deputies told the people to move on.

7:42 a.m. Police went to the 600 block of Mountain Vista Circle to arrest a woman. She was not at the house, but when police called, the woman said she was going to the jail to turn herself in. The 42-year-old Steamboat Springs woman was booked into the Routt County Jail on a warrant from Yuma, Ariz., on charges of fraud. The woman was reportedly wanted in connection with a theft of $200,000.



9:33 a.m. Police got a call about a fraudulent check at a bank in the 2200 block of Curve Court. Detective Dave Kleiber said someone has been sending forged checks from a local business across the country. None of the victims was local, he said.

9:58 a.m. Deputies were called to a request to check on animals at Filly and Colt trails.



10:37 a.m. Colorado Division of Wildlife officers were called to a report of a bear at the Yampa River and Soda Creek.

10:52 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a burglary alarm in the 29000 block of Routt County Road 18. Everything was fine.

11:41 a.m. Police, deputies, Colorado State Patrol troopers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a one-car crash on River Road near Tree Haus Road. A white truck reportedly cut off another car and drove it off the road. The car became stuck in the ditch. There were no injuries.

11:45 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of fraud in the 60000 block of C.R. 129 near Hahn’s Peak where a person was receiving repeated phone calls asking the person to wire money.

12:04 p.m. Police were called to a request for an officer in Central Park Plaza where liquor store employees wanted police to check an ID. The ID reportedly was fake, and officers gave the person trying to use it a summons.

12:56 p.m. Police were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash in a parking lot in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

1:33 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance in the Steamboat area. A pregnant woman reportedly felt lightheaded and nauseated, and medical crews took her to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

1:42 p.m. Police were called to a report of two dogs chained in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue for several hours. Animal control officers took the dogs to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter.

2:10 p.m. Deputies helped a driver whose truck overheated on U.S. Highway 40 on Rabbit Ears Pass.

4:26 p.m. Police were called to a report of a rug stolen from the 1400 block of Athens Plaza. The rug was reportedly outside and was going to be taken for cleaning. It was valued at $1,000.

5:31 p.m. Police were called to a request to check a camera in Dream Island Plaza. A person who wanted to buy the camera wanted to make sure it was not stolen.

5:46 p.m. Deputies and Hayden police were called to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of North Fourth Street in Hayden where two people reportedly were arguing. No more information was available.

8:07 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a group of hikers who were 1 1/2 hours late returning from a hike on Seedhouse Road. The group was found a short time later, and everything was fine.

8:49 p.m. Police were called to a report of vandalism on a Steamboat Springs Transit bus at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue where a 14- to 16-year-old boy reportedly broke out a rear window.

10:39 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about noise at the skatepark in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive.

10:42 p.m. North Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a report of a power line fire in the 56000 block of Moss Drive, near Clark.

11:09 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person walking along U.S. 40 on Rabbit Ears Pass with a flashlight.
