Sunday, July 3
12:37 a.m. The Colorado State Patrol investigated a drunken driving report on U.S. Highway 40 at mile marker 136.
1:53 a.m. A fireworks complaint was reported in the 100 block of Mount Werner Circle.
1:56 a.m. A fireworks complaint was reported in the 3300 block of AprÃs Ski Way.
8:54 a.m. A barking dog was reported in the 1300 block of Manitou Avenue.
9:54 a.m. A wallet was found in the area of Fifth and Oak streets.
10:37 a.m. An ambulance was requested for a bicyclist who fell after hitting a missing section of sidewalk near Resort Drive and Mount Werner Road. He was conscious by the time the ambulance had arrived, but had knocked himself out when he fell of his bicycle.
2:26 p.m. A bicycle reportedly was stolen in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue.
4:20 p.m. A fireworks complaint was reported in the area of Covey Circle.
4:51 p.m. Officers were called to the baseball fields in the 2500 block of Pine Grove Road after 15 to 20 fans were reported fighting. After one woman punched another woman in the face, she received a citation for assault. Triple Crown officials were called to calm the crowd down after officers threatened to close the fields if the fighting continued. Several fans were asked to leave the baseball fields as a result.
5:09 p.m. A mother and son were reported arguing over a vehicle in the 2500 block of Copper Ridge Drive and officers mediated the situation.
6:28 p.m. The owner of a business in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue called a towing company to tow the illegally parked vehicle in the parking lot. Even though the business was closed Sunday, at least one vehicle was towed and as many as five many have been removed from the parking lot.
6:36 p.m. A man was arrested at the rodeo grounds after an officer recognized him and knew he had an outstanding arrest warrant from Summit County. The man was arrested without incident.
7:43 p.m. A gas leak was reported in the 3000 block of Mountaineer Circle. A person was attempting to install a propane tank onto their barbecue grill and noticed a small leak coming from the tank. Firefighters showed the residents how to properly install the tank and left.
9:36 p.m. A fireworks complaint was reported in the 1500 block of Blue Sage Drive.
9:40 p.m. A child was reported missing in the 200 block of Old Fish Creek Falls Road after a woman thought her son crawled out of a window and ran away. She later found a note from the boy’s father notifying her of their whereabouts. Officers verified that the father had the son, which he did.
9:44 p.m. A fireworks complaint was reported in the area of Short Street. Officers notified Routt County communications that they would not be taking any more fireworks complaints because of the lack of officer manpower and the sheer volume of fireworks calls.
10:29 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 2400 block of Downhill Drive when someone thought they saw a possible drug deal. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
