Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a man urinating in the street in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He was taken to detox and given a ticket for public urination.

9:36 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help with a crash in Jackson County near mile marker 155 on U.S. Highway 40.



12:16 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a skier versus skier collision at Steamboat Ski Area.

12:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drug violation at Colorado Mountain College. Two summonses were issued for public consumption of marijuana.



1:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fraud at a liquor store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The fraud involved a threat from someone that the business’s electricity was going to be turned off.

5:08 p.m. A person came to the police department and reported losing a driver’s license.

6:37 p.m. Deputies stopped a car near mile maker 142 on U.S. Highway 40 and arrested a 70-year-old man on suspicion of driving while ability impaired.

6:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted to talk with officers about an ongoing issue with juveniles shoplifting at a convenience store in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

7:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a wallet in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.

8:47 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a possible drunken driver near mile marker 117 on U.S. 40.

8:51 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at JD Hays Way and South Lincoln Avenue. The person was taken to detox.

9:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person illegally using a Dumpster in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Circle.

11:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Howelsen Hill. A group of teens was contacted. They were reportedly doing a science project.
