Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:04 a.m. A Steamboat Springs Police Department officer was called to help a driver at Whistler Road and Shadow Run. While on the scene, the officer found a stray dog, which was taken to the animal shelter.

8:34 a.m. A Routt County Sheriff's Office deputy stopped to help a person who had run out of gas at mile marker 122 on U.S. Highway 40. A friend came to help the driver.

10:10 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of an 8-year-old who fell 24 feet from Four Points chairlift at Steamboat Ski Area. The safety bar had just been raised, and the child was leaning forward, according to the ski area. The child was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center and later was released.

11:07 a.m. A woman from Denver called Steamboat police because she thought an item on Craigslist that was for sale at a Steamboat location might have been stolen.

12:14 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a rollover crash at Routt County Roads 13 and 15 in Yampa, but no one was in the vehicle. Colorado State Patrol troopers are investigating the crash.

1:41 p.m. Officers were called a report of a man who was jumping toward people near Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers contacted the man, who was yelling racial slurs, and he was warned to stop.

2:43 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of ongoing harassment on C.R. 35. A person had been receiving unwanted calls, letters, emails and contact via social networks from a former classmate. Deputies are investigating.

4:32 p.m. The same person from an earlier call that was harassing people downtown was thrown off a bus in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue, and officers arrested the 20-year-old man for disorderly conduct, a violation of his bond conditions from a previous arrest.

6:15 p.m. Deputies were called to help a driver who had slid off the road at mile marker 11 on C.R. 62 near Clark.

7:11 p.m. Police gave a warning to a group of snowboarders riding rails at the Colorado Mountain College campus.
