12:19 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a dead elk on the road near mile marker 20 on Routt County Road 27. Deputies helped remove the animal from the road.

5:59 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders and Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a carbon monoxide or natural gas alarm in the 2300 block of Penny Lane, where a person reported a headache and an alarm sounding. Responders found an elevated level of natural gas, and a gas company was called to fix the possible leak.

11:08 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and police were called to a request for an ambulance in the first block of 10th Street, where a man was found unconscious near an electrical outlet. Emergency responders determined that the man likely had a seizure and took him to Yampa Valley Medical Center.



12:31 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of a car crash at Lincoln Avenue and Hilltop Parkway. One person was taken to YVMC with minor injuries.

1:13 p.m. Police were called to a report of a hit-and-run crash in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue, where a dump truck reportedly broke off a car’s mirror.



2:03 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for a welfare check in the 300 block of Fourth Street, where a 47-year-old man reportedly was drinking and taking prescription drugs. Medical crews took the man to YVMC.

3:46 p.m. Deputies were called to a complaint about a stray dog west of Hayden. They took the dog to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter.

3:48 p.m. Police were called to a cold report of a hit-and-run crash in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Ski Trail Lane.

5:24 p.m. Police were called to a report of a disturbance at YVMC, where an intoxicated person in the emergency room reportedly was unruly. Officers mediated the situation.

7:11 p.m. Police were called to a report of a suspicious car in the first block of 10th Street. Officers determined that the car was with a cleaning crew, and everything was fine.

9:47 p.m. Police and deputies arrested a person after a traffic stop near mile marker 129 on U.S. Highway 40.

11:04 p.m. Police were called to a report of drugs in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers found two men in an alley and issued them tickets for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

11:28 p.m. Police talked to a man in the 700 block of Yampa Street and issued a warning for public urination.

11:34 p.m. Police talked to another person in the 700 block of Yampa Street and issued another warning for public urination.
