Suspicious meat truck appears on Sixth Street: The Record for Wednesday, July 19, 2017

12:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person climbing up a ladder trying to get into a second-floor apartment unit in Athens Plaza. The person apparently knew someone in the unit and was trying to recover some of their belongings they left in the apartment. No criminal activity was occurring.

12:44 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an intoxicated man at Seventh and Oak streets. Police gave the man a ride home.

12:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in a dumpster in the 500 block of Anglers Drive. The bear ran off.



10:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of someone in the 200 block of Third Street who received an angry voicemail from a customer that sounded threatening.

10:45 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who appeared to be confused in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square. Police were unable to locate him.



11:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who was living in a storage unit in the 900 block of Confluence Court. The person wasn’t there when officers arrived.

3:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 300 block of Sixth Street. Somebody was attempting to sell meat out of the back of a freezer truck, and the person who witnessed it thought it was suspicious. Police could not locate the meat truck, and officers did not know what kind of meat was being sold.

5:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was loitering around a tire store in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

5:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 3200 block of Snowflake Circle. A person found a gun in their car that didn’t belong to them. Police determined the person’s friend accidentally left the gun in the car.

7:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Yampa and Seventh streets. The person was OK.

8:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a sandwich shop in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A customer walked into the shop and became worried because there were no employees inside for some time. An employee showed up to make some sandwiches about 3 minutes after the person called police.

9:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a group of drunken people near the Phoenix condos who appeared to be moving parking signs around. The people were gone when officers arrived.
