— The Steamboat Springs American Legion baseball team lost a pair of games during the weekend, falling, 16-14 and 18-8, to league-leading Eagle Valley.

The losses drop Steamboat to 6-4 in the Western Slope League.

The team resumed play Tuesday in Middle Park, but scores and statistics were not available by Tuesday evening.

In the first game against Eagle Valley, Steamboat fell behind early but battled back.

The team pushed across five runs in the sixth and seventh innings but left the bases load in the bottom of the seventh.

Colton Mahanna was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs, Carson Becker had two hits and Michael Yost hit a two-run home run.
