— The Steamboat Springs High School hockey team lost, 4-1, to Aspen on Wednesday, dropping its fifth straight.

The Sailors, after a good start to the season, have gone 0-4 since the holiday break and are just 0-5-1 in its last five games.

At Aspen on Wednesday, Steamboat (3-5-1) again took the early lead, thanks to a Jarret Walt goal.

But Aspen would score the next four, including three in the deciding second period. The Sailors beat the Skiers, 4-3, before the holiday break.

The team tries to dig itself out of a rut at 6 p.m. Saturday at Cherry Creek.
