Steamboat soccer players earn all-league honors

— Five Steamboat Springs High School girls soccer players were named to the Western Slope All-League team.

Steamboat, which finished the season with an 11-4-1 record and lost in the first round of the state playoffs to Skyline, had three first-team selections and two honorable mentions.

Joanie Bier, Sydney Bauk­necht and Katie Hostetler were named to the first team, while Shelby Struble and Hannah Barkey were named honorable mention.



Glenwood Springs junior Holly Brown was named the Player of the Year, while Demons coach Steve White took home Coach of the Year.
