Steamboat Springs police plan to issue an arrest warrant for two men reportedly involved in a fight in an alley near Lincoln Avenue early Sunday morning.

Law enforcement officers and an ambulance were called to the alley south of the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue at 1:28 a.m. Sunday morning. They found a 22-year-old man on the ground, conscious and breathing. Steamboat Springs Police Department Detectives Capt. Bob DelValle said the man might have been hit with a beer bottle, and he had a cut on his forehead that required stitches. Medical crews took the man to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

DelValle said police are looking for two men, described as white and wearing cowboy hats, in connection with charges of second-degree assault.
