Steamboat police investigating stabbing

— The Steamboat Springs Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Tuesday night at a residence at 3341 Apr├Ęs Ski Way.

Sgt. Rich Brown said a 30-year-old man called for help at midnight and said he had fallen on a knife. Police think there is more to the story, and Brown said police are following up with a suspect who might have been involved in the incident.

Brown said the victim’s girlfriend and at least one other male roommate were at the residence when the alleged stabbing occurred.

Brown said the man was stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and later released.
