Steamboat Nordic girls team place 2nd

— The Steamboat Springs High School girls Nordic skiing team was second at a skate ski race at Snow Mountain Ranch on Saturday.

Vail Mountain won the meet with 175 points. Steamboat had 160, ahead of Aspen, in third with 151.

Cassady Daley led the way for the Sailors, finishing ninth on the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 16.1 seconds. Linnea Dixson was close on her heels, 10th in 18:31.5. Dominique Powers was 13th, Martha Anderson was 18th, Hannah Barkey was 21st, Sarah White was 22nd, Mallory Hoots was 23rd, Eva Lambeck was 28th and Pichya Nimit was 42nd.



Jack Burger paced the boys, finishing 15th. Dane Dixson was 29th and Peter White was 58th.

The Steamboat boys team was seventh with 121 points. Summit won with 168, ahead of Battle Mountain in second and Aspen in third.
