Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs Police Department on Thursday arrested Tyler Davis, 21, on suspicion of felony inducement of a child for prostitution.
Davis recently moved to Steamboat Springs.
Sgt. Rich Brown said Davis is suspected of approaching several underage teenage girls and asking them for sex in exchange for money. Police are aware of at least three incidents.
Detective Stuart Hutton said one of the incidents occurred Wednesday on a city bus, and the victim was able to take a picture of Davis. Police solicited help from the public in identifying the man in the photo, and Brown said they received several tips.
Davis likely will be advised of his rights by a judge Friday, when bond will be set.
Police also continue to investigate a suspicious incident involving a child that occurred Tuesday at the Tennis Center at Steamboat Springs. An 8-year-old girl told her parents a high school-age boy told her she was supposed to go home with him.
