Steamboat Business Briefs: Hoffmans join Prudential team

Ted and Kristi Hoffman, of Hoffman Property Group, have joined Prudential Steamboat Realty.
Kristi Hoffman, a Steamboat native, has participated in launching many of the local luxury developments since 2004 while representing other segments of the general Steamboat real estate market, according to a news release.
Ted Hoffman has been working in Steamboat real estate since 1997 with a recent focus on investment property and high-end residential. He also was co-owner/managing partner of High Mountain Sotheby's in Steamboat and is the co-owner of Zephyr Companies, according to the release. Zephyr is a local real estate development company with luxury residential projects near the base of Steamboat Ski Area.
"The addition of Ted and Kristi to the Prudential team is an exciting one," Prudential Steamboat co-owner Pam Vanatta said in the release. "Their years of in-depth experience and success within our local market is a testament to their dedication and passion."
SolBites snacks to see increased availability
SolBites — all-natural, single-serving packages of crackers and spreads — will be available in nearly 100 additional Whole Foods Markets in 10 states and 263 Cost Plus Market locations nationwide beginning this month, according to a news release.
Steamboat Springs resident Adam Spector is a co-founder of the product that has been available in several Whole Foods and Vitamin Cottage locations as well as independent retailers.
"More and more consumers are looking for healthy, all-natural snacks wherever they shop," co-founder and CEO Arn Hayden said in the release. "SolBites' continued success shows consumers believe you don't have to give up healthy, natural foods just because you're on the go."
Rogue Resources receives $300K grant from USDA
Rogue Resources in Steamboat Springs recently received a $300,000 U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to expand its market to invest in wood straw products that can be used for erosion control.
The Value-Added Producer Grants program supports agricultural producers by helping to increase their income by expanding marketing opportunities, creating new products or developing new uses for existing products, according to a news release.
Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties adds associate
Dave Moloney has joined Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties as a full-time sales associate working out of the Steamboat Springs office, according to a news release.
Moloney has been a broker since 1990 and has served on the Legislative Policy Committee for the Colorado Association of Realtors and as past vice president of the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors. He also is a certified ePRO and REO specialist, according to the release.
"Dave is a great addition to our team," Giles Howard said in the release. "His knowledge and commitment to the industry is a great compliment to our office and allows him to serve his clients well."
