Steamboat briefs: Volunteers needed for US Telemark National Championships

The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is in need of volunteers to help with the U.S. Telemark National Championships on Friday at Steamboat Ski Area and Saturday and Sunday at Howelsen Ski Area. Every eight hours worked applies toward a Winter Sports Club work deposit or a ski ticket for a future day of skiing at Steamboat Ski Area. 7th Moonshine Ski & Dine tickets available for $50
The seventh annual Moonshine Ski & Dine fundraiser is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Catamount Lake House. Tickets are $50 and include drinks, appetizers, chili and desserts. Grand Futures is seeking parents for drug survey
Grand Futures Prevention Coalition seeks parents of middle and high school students to participate in a survey about their perceptions of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use by their children. Community trade show is set for Wednesday at CMC
A community trade show is from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Colorado Mountain College academic center. Tables at the show are free and open to display art, textiles and services. Register for a space by Friday by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
VNA offers birth control, screenings for women
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association's Women's Health Clinic is offering low cost birth control, STD screenings, pap smears, breast exams and general women's health care based on income. Horizons providing free screenings for children
Horizons Specialized Services provides free screenings for children. If you're a parent and are concerned about your child's development, call Kathy Northcutt at 970-871-8558. The screenings can answer questions such as "Should he be walking by now?" "How many words should she be saying?" and "Is her hearing and vision what it should be?"
