First Impressions presents 5-week parenting series
First Impressions of Routt County presents a five-week parenting series with Kristen Race, Ph.D. The course is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 11 at Strawberry Park Elementary School. The class will cover topics including strengthening your child's self-esteem, how stress is affecting your children, developing effective discipline strategies and increasing family engagement. Alive at 25 driving class at Steamboat high school
An Alive at 25 defensive driving class is from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Steamboat Springs High School. The class is required for all new drivers who haven't taken a formal drivers education class and who want to get their learners permit at age 15 1/2. It also is required for Steamboat Springs High School students who want to be able to park a car at the school next year. The class costs $39. Steamboat Dance Theatre performance starts Friday

Steamboat Dance Theatre presents its 40th annual dance concert at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Steamboat Springs High School auditorium. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and senior citizens, $20 for reserved seating and are available at All That Jazz.
