Steamboat briefs: Service Learning Institute registration ends Thursday

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps is offering a fifth two-week Service Learning Institute session for youths entering sixth through ninth grades. Eight youths and two adult leaders will complete community service projects across Routt County. The cost is $25, and the program runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from Aug. 6 to 16. Registration is required by Thursday. Call 970-879-2135 for more information.
Weeden earns master's from George Washington
Jeffery L. Weeden, a partner at Feldmann Nagel, graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a master's degree in professional studies in law firm management.
Vintage Camper Trailer Tour slated for Aug. 18
Sisters on the Fly hosts a Vintage Camper Trailer Tour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Steamboat Campground.
The public is invited to join Sisters on the Fly from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 18 for a tour of their (mostly) vintage camper trailers. The cost is $10 per person, and proceeds benefit Casting for Recovery, a fly-fishing breast cancer support group. Tickets are available in advance at Steamboat Flyfisher and the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association and can be purchased on-site the day of the event. Attendees are asked to leave their vehicles in town and take the free city bus to the campground.
Girl Scouts troop leaders needed in Routt County

The award is given to stores that demonstrate a high level of cleanliness and food safety. Last year, about 18 percent of Dairy Queen/Orange Julius restaurants qualified for the award.
Women's Cast 'n' Blast class set for Saturday
