Youth scholarship applications for the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra's Education Programs are due Friday. Scholarships, based on financial need, are available for youth younger than 20 for tuition assistance in Youth Orchestra, String Ensemble and Cello Choir. VNA offers free cholesterol screenings in September
In recognition of National Cholesterol Awareness Month, Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will offer free cholesterol screenings by appointment every Tuesday in September, starting today, at 940 Central Park Drive, suite 101. In Craig, free screenings are every Friday, starting this week, at 745 Russell St. Call Karla to make an appointment at 970-875-1880.
Partners Java and Jazz event Sunday at Lake Catamount
Partners in Routt County's fourth annual Java & Jazz fundraiser is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Catamount clubhouse. Enjoy an evening of company, coffee, a silent auction and music from the Steamboat Springs Jazz Quartet. Tickets cost $50, or $80 for two, and can be purchased at All That Jazz or at the door. Street closure at Walton Creek, Chinook Lane
A street closure is planned at Walton Creek Road and Chinook Lane from Monday to Sept. 18. The closure is for connection of sewer and water lines for the future senior living campus east of Casey's Pond. Traffic control and detours will be set up.
