A man's arm was injured while he was working on a belt crew at Twentymile Mine this week, Peabody Energy spokeswoman Meg Gallagher said Thursday.

The man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center, and the incident is under review, as is common in accidents, Gallagher said.

The mine has reported four other accidents in 2010 to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, according to the MSHA's Department of Labor website. The accidents ranged from back strain from repetitive bending to two smashed fingers.

Gallagher initially said the accident happened early Monday, but she confirmed Friday that it happened early Tuesday. According to reports from Routt County Communications, Twentymile Mine Ambulance emergency responders were called at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday.
