Steamboat briefs: Last day to return primary election ballots is Tuesday

Tuesday is the last day to turn in completed primary election ballots. All completed ballots must be dropped off at the Routt County Clerk and Recorder's Office in Routt County Courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs by 7 p.m. Tuesday. The office opens at 7 a.m. Tuesday. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The primary election is being conducted exclusively by mail-in ballot. For more information, call the Clerk and Recorder's Office at 970-870-5558.
Virtual job fair hosted by Colorado Workforce Center
The Colorado Workforce Center hosts a virtual job fair at 10 a.m. Monday. The fair opens early at 9 a.m. for veterans. Participants must register at http://www.connectingcolorado.com in order to be admitted to the job fair website. Call 970-879-3075 for more information.
Cancer Support Group is planned for noon Thursday
Yampa Valley Medical Center will host a Cancer Support Group at noon Thursday in the Integrated Health offices at YVMC. The free program is open to all cancer patients and any friends, family or caregivers of cancer patients. The theme of the support group is compassion fatigue. Literary Sojourn tickets to go on sale Monday online
Literary Sojourn will be held Oct. 6 at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort. Steamboat's 20th annual festival of readers and authors, brought to you by Bud Werner Memorial Library, features Kathryn Harrison, Hillary Jordan, Jonathan Lethem, Laura Lippman and Tom Perrotta, with Andrew Sean Greer returning as master of ceremonies. Fundraiser is planned to support Tibetan students
A fundraiser and awareness evening to support Tibetan students is from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 677 Meadowbrook Circle. The evening features free food and drinks, an ongoing slide show, a silent auction and a short presentation about beneficiary E.S. Tibet, a school near Dharamsala, India, that provides education to young adult refugees. The evening is appropriate for all ages. Grant applications for low income housing accepted
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors is accepting grant applications from qualified organizations that provide housing services to moderate to low-income households. To be eligible for funds, organizations must be based in Colorado, have a housing-related mission and be a nonprofit agency with a 501(c)(3) status or a public agency. Annual Har Mishpacha meeting to be held July 2
The annual meeting of Har Mishpacha, the Jewish Congregation of Steamboat Springs, will be held at 7 p.m. July 2 at The Ranch at Steamboat, 1800 Ranch Road. Members and friends of Har Mishpacha are invited. Light refreshments will be served.
