Steamboat briefs: Hayden School Board to consider opposing ballot measures

— The Hayden School Board will consider tonight whether to approve a resolution opposing ballot measures Proposition 101 and Amendments 60 and 61.

The Steamboat Springs and South Routt school districts and the Education Fund Board, among other local entities, have approved resolutions opposing the ballot measures that would negatively affect local school funding.

Hayden School Board members also are scheduled to discuss a ballot measure asking voters to approve a mill levy override to generate an estimated $321,473.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in Room 165 at Hayden High School, across the hall from the office.
