Teen Programs hosting open gym for students
The city's Teen Programs department is hosting an open gym for high school students from 9 to 11 p.m. today at Excel Gymnastics, 1955 Bridge Lane, Suite 1500. Commissioners to host celebratory party today
The Routt County Board of Commissioners will hosting a party from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Steamboat Springs Community Center to celebrate the retirements of former Commissioner Nancy Stahoviak and Treasurer Jeanne Whiddon as well as to congratulate former Commissioner Diane Mitsch Bush on winning the Colorado House District 26 seat. Columbian grouse lek viewing is on April 18
Join District Wildlife Manager Danielle Domson on April 18 on a visit to a Columbian sharp-tailed grouse lek south of Hayden and get an up-close view of male birds performing courtship displays to impress females. Vendor applications being accepted for spring events
■ The inaugural Savor Steamboat is from 3 to 6 p.m. June 15. The new event near the base of Steamboat Ski Area will feature barbecue pork and cocktail competitions. Habitat ReStore in need of volunteers during weekdays
Steamboat's newly expanded Habitat ReStore is open in Riverside Plaza next to Pisa's and needs volunteers to help price and sell donated furniture, lighting and building supplies. Shifts are available from noon to 2 p.m. or 2 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 970-367-8001.
