Steamboat briefs: Chamber seeks volunteers for 2nd All Arts Festival

Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is seeking volunteers for the second annual Steamboat All Arts Festival. The All Arts Festival is a four-day collaborative event highlighting all forms of the arts including music, performing, visual, literary and culinary arts.
The event is from Aug. 19 to 22, and a variety of volunteer opportunities are available with various time commitments.
Volunteers will get an event shirt after working more than two hours, and after four hours, volunteers receive a workshop ticket of their choice. For every additional two hours worked, volunteers get another workshop ticket.

BLM announces days when it will waive fees on lands
The Bureau of Land Management, in conjunction with other agencies within the Department of the Interior, will waive recreation-related fees for visitors Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) on many of the public lands managed by the BLM, including areas within the National Landscape Conservation System, according to a BLM news release.
Site standard amenity and individual day-use fees at BLM recreation sites and areas will be waived for the day, according to the release. Other fees, such as overnight camping, cabin rentals, and group day use, will remain in effect.
