Steamboat Briefs: Boys & Girls Club seeks digital camera donations

The Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs is starting a photography club. Participants will have the opportunity to document their lives and share stories for a national contest. The group is looking for donations of digital cameras with memory cards, USB cables and battery chargers for cameras with rechargeable batteries.

Children can pay library fines with food next month
During December, children can pay off their fines at Bud Werner Memorial Library while helping local families in need by participating in the library's annual Food for Fines Program.
For every can of food kids bring into the library, the library will cancel $1 in overdue fines up to $10. All food will be donated to the LIFT-UP Food Bank. This program is for kids 17 and younger during December. Visit http://www.steam

Museum closed Tuesday and Thanksgiving day
The Tread of Pioneers Museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Monday for the Festival of Trees. The museum will be closed Tuesday but open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. The museum will be closed on Thanksgiving and will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
