Public comments accepted on proposed land exchange

The Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners voted to initiate its public process on a proposed nonsimultaneous exchange of 5.4 acres of land in Routt County at an Oct. 5 meeting. The parcel is south of U.S. Highway 40 about three miles west of Milner.

Routt County requires a minimum of 35 acres for a rural building site, so the purchaser of the parcel must have adjacent land to which the parcel could be added, according to a news release from the State Land Board.

Members of the public who want to comment on the proposed exchange can do so by writing Field Operations Section Manager Beverly Rave at 1127 Sherman St., Suite 300, Denver, CO 80203, or faxing comments to 303-866-3152. Comments must be labeled "Northwest Saddle Mountain Exchange."

On Wednesday, the Land Board will review sealed bids for the property. For more information on the bid process, contact Rave at the address listed above.
