Soroco volleyball falls in final regular season game

The Soroco High School volleyball team lost Saturday, unable to duplicate a win against North Park from earlier in the season.

The Rams fell, 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23.

"Our biggest thing that hurt us was our mental focus," Rams' coach Jeannie Jo Logan said Sunday in an email. "We just didn't have the consistency with it like we have in the past and that hurt us. I am very proud of the girls for their effort and fight."

Logan said missing several players to injuries and sickness also slowed the squad.

Soroco finished the season 2-15, picking up one of its wins earlier this month against North Park. The squad travels Tuesday to play Paonia in the district tournament.

"We hope to go into Tuesday with a wild card momentum and finish as strong as we can," Logan said.
