The Soroco High School track and field team continued to drop times Friday at a meet in Grand Junction.

The girls 400-yard relay of Lauryn Bruggink, Hayley Johnson, Jaelyn Whaley and Micaela Meyer finished third. The same 800 relay team finished fourth, and the 1,600 relay team of Bruggink, Whaley, Meyer and Jessica Rossi was fifth.

The boys 1,600 relay team of Nic Paxton, Micah Gibbons, AJ Anderson and Carl Rossi was eighth.

Josie Rossi was fifth in the 1,600 and 3,200 runs and seventh in the high jump.

Leah Walorski was sixth in the triple jump. Meyer was fifth in the long jump and Lindsay Miles was eighth in the long jump. Jessica Rossi was eighth in the 400. AJ Anderson was seventh in the high jump.

"Relay-wise, times are really coming down," Soroco coach David Bruner said. "I set goals for all our relays coming in, and they were all down by lots of seconds. Things are coming around, and we're getting in better shape."
