Soroco girls hoops falls against Hotchkiss

— The Soroco girls lost their second consecutive game, falling, 62-36, on Saturday night playing on the road at Hotchkiss. Coach David Bruner said the game bore a lot in common with a similarly lopsided loss to Paonia on Friday night.

"We played hard again, but we have to work on free throws and boxing out," Bruner said. "We didn't shoot the ball well, but we're getting the shots we want."

Briana Peterson led the Rams with 10 points. Jessica Rossi had eight.

Soroco drops to 7-3.

"Hotchkiss was really quick, and that exposed a lot of what we do," Bruner said.
