Soroco boys pick up 1st win, knock off North Park

Joel Reichenberger

The Soroco boys team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday at North Park, knocking off the Wildcats, 63-51, to halt a four-game early season slide.

“We shot the ball a lot better and played really well on defense,” coach Jake Eskridge said.

The Rams, 1-4, benefited from getting veterans Matt Regan and AJ Anderson back in their lineup, and from several other veterans turning in their best nights of the season. Ryan Jeep poured in 20 points and Nic Paxton had 19.

“We still have a lot of work to do, but this was a win we needed,” Eskridge said. “Hopefully now we can keep this going.”
