Shannon Winegarner: Golf event a success
July 11, 2010
Steamboat Springs — The 17th annual Hospice dinner and golf tournament was held June 14 and 15 at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Catamount Ranch & Club golf course. Once again, the turnout was amazing. More than 300 supporters of the Hospice program joined us for the dinner and program to remember and honor the lives of community members who we have lost during the past year. John Kerst, of Yampa Valley Bank, once again generously provided his time and talent to emcee the event. Music provided by Missed the Boat and wine donated by Bayard Fox of Renard Vineyards were enjoyed during the dinner. Centerpieces were created and potted by children participating in the Poogie's Place youth bereavement program. It was a very special evening enjoyed by all.
I would like to extend a very big thank you to all of the family members of those who we serve, volunteers and staff, event sponsors, and to all who came out to celebrate and remember with us. The generosity and support of this community continues to inspire and to remind us all why this is such a wonderful community.
