Sen. Al White set to visit South Routt School Board
September 16, 2010
Sen. Al White, a Hayden Republican, is scheduled to meet with the South Routt School Board at 5:45 p.m. before tonight's meeting.
Superintendent Scott Mader said the district would ask White about Colorado's projected revenue this year and whether the state would cut K-12 education for the second consecutive year.
Also at the meeting, Finance Director Dina Murray is set to present a report about the district's cash flow through December without an interest-free loan from the state. The program has been suspended because voters will consider three tax-cutting ballot measures on the November ballot. Board members also are scheduled to discuss asking voters to approve a mill levy override to generate an estimated $349,314.
A 6:30 p.m. executive session is scheduled to precede the 7 p.m. regular session at the district administrative offices, 305 S. Grant St. in Oak Creek.
