Routt County wrestlers open regional tournament

— The Steamboat Springs High School wrestling team has several wrestlers still alive in the regional tournament.

Nathan Parks (126 pounds), Dane Koepfer (145) and Cole Sittig (heavyweight) advanced to Saturday’s semifinal matches.

Brandon Yeager (182) and Guerin Lewis (152) still are alive in the consolation bracket.



Alex Woodfield, Steven Baumgartner, Dylan Wallace and Connor O’Brien are out.

All Soroco wrestlers stay alive

The Soroco High School wrestling team has all of its wrestler still alive for Saturday’s final day.



Colton Martindale (120 pounds) and Cody Constine (195) are in the semifinals.

Shad Covalt (106), Andrew Schupner (113), Dillon Koler (138) and Nate Ragan (220) are in the consolation bracket.

Hayden has strong day at regionals

The Hayden wrestling team advanced four wrestlers into Saturday’s semifinals at the regional wrestling tournament.

Judd Magee (106), Kent Miller (132), Taylor Lewis (160) and Ryan Domson (182) advanced to the semifinals.

Hayden also has several other wrestlers still alive.

Tanner Guire (113), Tate Montieth (126) and Colton Jensen (145) will wrestle in the consolation bracket.
