Mike Vandahl

Mike Vandahl, basketball

2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, senior at Western State Colorado University

Vandahl scored seven points and had a steal in 23 minutes of play Friday in a 80-69 win against Fort Lewis College. He then scored five and had an assist as Western State wrapped up its season with a 108-96 loss to Adams State. The Mountaineers either needed a win in the game or a loss from a pair of other conference foes to secure a spot in the league tournament. That didn't happen, however, and the team's season ended.

Vandahl finished his senior season with 170 points, an average of 6.5 per game. He had 85 rebounds, 39 assists and 9 steals while starting 18 games.

2009 graduate of Hayden High School, senior at CSU-Pueblo

Holli Salazar competed at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference indoor track and field championships and placed sixth in the weight throw, notching a toss of 48 feet, 3.5 inches. She was 11th in the shot put, reaching 38-8.25.
