Mike Vandahl, basketball
2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, senior at Western State Colorado University
Western State had a couple rough nights, losing to UC-Colorado Springs, 78-66, and to CSU-Pueblo, 67-43. Vandahl, starting both games, wasn't sharp shooting the ball. He went 0-6 against Colorado Springs but grabbed four rebounds and had two assists. He was 1-7 with two rebounds and one assist against Pueblo.
Isaiah Mendoza-Forsyth, basketball
2011 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, freshman at Johnson & Wales
Mendoza-Forsyth played in a pair of games for Johnson & Wales during the week, logging 11 minutes in each. He had one assist in a Tuesday loss to Colorado College, then tallied a rebound and a steal in another loss against Valley City State.
Johnson & Wales is 4-17 on the season.

2012 graduate of Hayden High School, freshman at Colorado School of Mines
Koehler had one rebound in two minutes of action as Mines picked up a 71-70 win against Regis on Friday. The team is 10-5 on the season.
Shane McLean, alpine skiing
2010 graduate of Lowell Whiteman School, sophomore at University of Colorado
McLean placed fifth in a giant slalom race Tuesday at Eldora Mountain Resort. She didn't complete her second run at a GS on Friday, but she bounced back to place third at a GS in Winter Park on Saturday.
Mary Rose, cross-country skiing
2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, senior at University of Colorado
Rose was seventh Sunday in a classic ski race in Steamboat Springs, helping the Buffs to a win in their own invitational. Rose finished the 5-kilometer course at Howelsen Hill in 16 minutes, 57.6 seconds. She placed seventh in a skate skiing race on Saturday.
Charlie Von Thaden, cross-country skiing
2012 graduate of Lowell Whiteman School, freshman at University of Colorado
Von Thaden placed 25th Sunday in a 10-kilometer classic cross-country ski race in Steamboat Springs. He was 17th in a skate skiing race in Steamboat on Saturday.
