9:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit and run accident in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. A person was issued a DUI and arrested after crashing into a tree and running from police.

12:05 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear stuck in a Dumpster in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. It was scared away.

4:17 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a small grass fire at Rotary Park. It was put out by tubers and parks workers before officers arrived.

10:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft in the 1800 block of Hunters Drive. A man went onto a neighbor’s property, took landscaping stones and made a figurine on his own property. The stones were returned.

11:47 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a possible structure fire on Loggers Lane. There was a lot of smoke in the area. The smoke was coming from a chimney. A coffee company was roasting beans.

7:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a low-flying plane that flew over a house five times in the 1300 block of Manitou Avenue. It was believed the plane was spraying meadows.

11:06 p.m. Officers found several people at the Howelsen Hill skate park, and they started running away when officers arrived. Officers caught up with one of the individuals and discovered everything was fine.

12:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person looking through home windows in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. Nobody was around when officers arrived.

12:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who found a bear in her kitchen in the 2500 block of Liftline Way. The bear got into a freezer and ate some bacon. The bear got in through an open porch door and was gone when officers arrived.

1:12 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person who kept accidentally calling 911 from his or her phone. Police contacted the person and told them they needed to fix the phone and stop calling 911 if there wasn't an emergency.
