9:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue who got a fraudulent phone call from someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service.

1:50 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. A woman was concerned about a man who followed her out of a bar and tried to take a picture with her. Officers contacted the man.

1:01 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of man in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage who said he overdosed on Motrin. Officers contacted the man, and they believed the man just needed someone to talk to. The man also wanted a 7 Up. Officers went and got the man the drink at a convenience store for $1.50. Police said it was worth the $1.50 to calm the man down.

12:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of somebody who was trying to break in the back door of a woman's home in the 200 block of Blue Sage Circle. Police were unable to find anyone

12:06 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a credit card fraud report in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. Someone lost their wallet near the base of Steamboat Ski Area, and shortly thereafter got alerts from their bank that their card had been used in suspicious ways. A report was taken.

12:01 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunk person in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

7:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an animal complaint at Village Lane and Merritt Street. A person reported a hound dog got in a fight with a fox. Officers found the hound and took it home. The hound had a scratch on its head, and the owner was given a ticket for having a dog at large.

6:29 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a man at Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue. An officer found the man and observed him fall several times while skateboarding. An open bottle of Fireball whiskey was found in the man’s backpack and was poured out. He was given a ride home and released to a sober roommate.

2:32 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a possible prowler in the 36800 block of Tree Haus Drive. Someone heard noise on their deck. It was suspected the noises came from wildlife and possibly a bear.

12:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike left on a bus.

2:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who drew some “graphic” pictures in the dust on some vehicles parked in the 1200 block of Hilltop Parkway. One of the vehicle owners claimed the drawing scratched the paint on the vehicle. Police have not identified any suspects.

2:25 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken pedestrian at a bar in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person was extremely intoxicated and was arrested for violating a protection order due to alcohol consumption.

1:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shoplifting in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A woman reportedly stole a sports bra. She was ticketed.

1:18 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a group of people by a trash can at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. People in the group were taking pictures of a man who was celebrating his 21st birthday. He had been throwing up and was passed out. Friends said they could take care of the man, but the most sober person in the group had an alcohol level of .18. Police decided the best thing to do was to take the man to detox.
