8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who walked out of a convenience store without paying for two trays of nachos. The loss was $5.41, and the woman could not be located.

8:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was stumbling and yelling in the street at Whistler Road and Sparta Plaza. The man almost got hit by a car. Police contacted the man, and a sober person came to take care of him.

Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunk pedestrian near 6th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers arrived on scene but no one was around.

The Record for Friday, Jan. 30, 2015

6:44 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a trailer home on fire in the 40800 block of Routt County Road 76A. The homeowner put out the electrical fire.

8:07 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious car at Hillside Drive and Storm Peak Court. A man had come up to visit from Boulder but did not have a place to stay, so he stayed in his car. He was intoxicated, and there were open containers of alcohol in his car.

8:56 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of an accident near mile marker 112 on U.S. Highway 40. A man was driving, and a mattress blew out from the bed of his pickup. When the man retrieved the mattress, his truck rolled into the ditch. The man was not injured.

4:21 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person who was upset about the noise coming from a snow plow in the 700 block of Yampa Street. The person thought plowing was not allowed to start until 5:30 a.m.

12:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of lost property in the 2800 block of Village Drive. A bellman brought the wrong luggage to a room. The correct luggage was never located.

9:43 a.m. Officers were called to a report of dispute between a Steamboat Ski Area employee and someone who was parked illegally and refusing to move in the 15-minute waiting area at the Gondola Transit Center. The argument was mediated.

The Record for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015

12:55 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at the 3300 block of Columbine Drive. An intoxicated man was attempting to get into the wrong apartment. Officers arrived and found him a sober party who got him home.

The Record for Friday, Jan. 23, 2015

7:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 3300 block of Apr├Ęs Ski Way. A man came home and thought an intruder was inside. He locked himself in the basement with a gun and waited for police. There was no intruder. Police said the man was hallucinating, and he claimed he had just smoked marijuana. He was cited for prohibited use of a weapon and false reporting.

11:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Yampa Valley Medical Center. The hospital received a package containing medications and a bullet casing. Officers learned the hospital had ordered the medications from a pharmaceutical company. It was suspected the casing got lodged in the box accidentally at some point while being shipped.

12:11 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken man who was refusing to pay for nachos he was eating at the corner of a convenience store in the first block of Anglers Drive. He eventually paid and left.

The Record for Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015

10:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of vandalism in the 2700 block of Burgess Creek Road. A pedestrian carrying skis and poles was startled by an oncoming shuttle bus and accidentally broke a shuttle window with a pole.
