Local Realtors rank high in Colorado

Martin Dragnev, broker/owner at Colorado Group Realty, finished 73rd out of about 35,000 state licensees in the "Individuals by Sides" category with his 59 properties sold. Respectively, the Paoli Group, headed by Chris Paoli, also a broker/owner at the company, impressed by ranking No. 27 in the state of Colorado in the "Sales Volume" category for teams, according to a CGR submission to a magazine article.

"This group of highly successful real estate sales agents represents less than 1 percent of all real estate practitioners in the United States," Steve Murray, publisher of REAL Trends America's Best Real Estate Agents, was quoted in the article as having said.

Every July, REAL Trends magazine issues America’s Best Real Estate Agents rankings in collaboration with Zillow and Trulia. To be included in the ranking, agents must have closed at least 50 transactions or $20 million in sales volume during the previous year in which teams must have closed 75 transaction sides or $30 million in sales. All production numbers are independently verified by a third-party to ensure accuracy and report integrity.

Newspaper welcomes new employees

Steamboat Pilot & Today is pleased to announce the addition of two new employees, Kevin Rysz and Robert Phillips, to its advertising team.

Rysz replaces Kathy Wichelhaus — who left the newspaper July 7 to accept a new position — as account manager. Risz moved to Steamboat Springs recently with his wife, Laura, who is employed at Smartwool.

Risz comes to Steamboat Pilot & Today following a long career with The Integer Group, a large and successful advertising agency in Denver, where he most recently served as director of creative operations and client services.

"Kevin is going to be terrific addition to our advertising team and our community," said Suzanne Schlicht, publisher.

Phillips, who joined the newspaper July 17, assumes the role of magazine advertising and event sales and event planning from Bryna Sisk, who was recently promoted to digital marketing manager.

Phillips comes to Steamboat from Chattanooga with his wife, Susan, and son and daughter, who are in third and fifth grades, respectively, bringing with him years of experience in magazine and niche publications.

"I'm looking forward to the new heights we'll see for this area of our business with Robert's leadership," Schlicht said.
